Skateboarding Championships 2021

On Sunday the 11th of April we are delighted to be officially sponsoring the Skateboard GB x Habito National Championships 2021! The championships will be held at Graystone Action Sports Academy in Manchester.

This exciting one-day competition is the only British qualification event before the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo! Both male and female skateboarders will compete for qualification points and up to £7,000 in cash prizes. Both men and women will be awarded equal prize money. 

The contest is participated by 32 skateboarders from across the UK competing in both Olympic skateboarding disciplines of street and park with eight skaters per discipline. 

The skateboarders have been invited on a World Skate rank basis and from points scored at the 2019 National Championships as the 2020 Championships were cancelled due to COVID-19 lockdown regulations. To fill the women's quota, Girls Skate UK has helped the selection committee, selecting skaters based on world ranking, previous competitions and recent video footage. 

The competition will feature the UK's most skilled skateboarders including five Skateboard GB Aspiration funded skateboarders: Sam Beckett, Sky Brown, Alex Decunha, Alex Hallford and Jordan Thackeray.
